 Childhood 
                  Talking about his childhood Dr. Reddy said, "I failed in my third standard and was a mischievous boy, when i was curious to know how a car runs on petrol i just lit a matchstick and put it in the car, then the whole went up in flames!
                  I locked my brother inside the bridge on one sunny afternoon, another time I pulled out brakes of a car, then the car crashed! Following these incidents my father and grandfather became very upset and put me in the hostel at Hyderabad Public School then studied at Kurnool Medical College".

Why Gastroenterology?
                   "I got a job in Harvard in America in 1989-90 with a salary package of  1Crore rupees per month in Indian currency. But I decided to comeback to India to do service to my country. In India Digestive system diseases are more. In case of heart attack humans will die immediately but that is not the case in digestive system. It is a chronic disease, so exclusively for this i decided to start medical institute. With the help of my friends, companions economic support i started ASIAN INSTITUTE OF GASTROENTEROLOGY" at Hyderabad, Dr. Reddy said.

Life Changing Incidents
                    When I was in ninth standard we were five members standing in a line. Describing as one was topper in the school other was in cricket, another in swimming and other one was all rounder when it was my turn "He is an useless fellow" they said. That day changed my life. After that i did a lot of  hardwork and showed my talent in tenth class board exams.
                   When I became Gastroenterologist my father asked me,"For whom you have done this? What have you done to your society? Then I decided to start research, in villages we started  free treatment, free medical tests and reached more than 1crore people, it happened in 1994.
               
 Awards
            He received Padma Sri award in 2002 and Padma Bhushan award in 2016 by the Government of India.
            He was given world's highest gastroenterology award in Shanghai, China in 2013.
            He also received Master Endoscopist award highest award in the field of endoscopy in the world and is also termed as the "Nobel Prize of Endoscopy"in 2009.               
            He said, his wife also plays an important role in getting such incredible awards.

 Interest on Research
                         Dr. Reddy said, "After attaining 70 years of age i will take rest from medical field and starts to put interest on research. At present 40 people of Asian Institute of Gastroenterology are doing research on Diabetes and after 10 years he decided to start a research institute in Hyderabad on food related.....
